God’s Kiss
It
was pouring rain when I saw a cat scurry under a car, he was hungry, cold, and
lost by far,
By
comparison a homeless man was digging through a garbage pail, his hair, eyes,
and hands looked frail,
Suddenly
a car whizzed by, and a splash from a puddle got in the homeless man’s eyes,
He
used his tattered sleeve to wipe away the gutter sludge, only to create another
smudge,
The
homeless man looked up and gazed at the sky, and the rain from above kissed his
tears as he cried.
